The short story of the move to Taiwan
Well, I did my exchange study at a Chinese university from September 2024-January 2025, after feeling like God asked me to study Chinese six years ago. Since then it’s been a long walk, moving from my home town and my apartment and all my friends in Bryne to study Chinese full time in a new town Bergen in Norway, and then enduring a very challenging half year in China. When I came home this January I didn’t feel finished with China, but no doors would open into the country. I contacted eight missions organizations and applied to several jobs, looked at several private schools, until a friend of mine had a prophetic word to lay it all down and start anew and I felt God asking me to let go of China. The very moment I did (like the same day!) I got an e-mail from someone I’d written months before, telling me about YWAM in Taiwan and the chance to study Chinese there and be in missions.
