year into prostitution by parents, male partners and human

Women and the Home

More than 5,000 brides in India are burned to death annually by their husbands or in-laws due to unmet dowry demands (brudepris), or to
marry again and collect another dowry from a new bride's family.

450 million women and girls are physically impaired due to
malnutrion (underernaering). In many societies, females eat only
after the males have had their fill, and some nutritious foods, such
as chicken or eggs, are considered taboo for females. (World Vision)

70% of people living in abject poverty (living on less

  Rwanda, The Congo, Sierra Leone, Kosovo and
Afghanistan have used rape (voldtekt) as a
systematic weapon of war with near complete impunity.
