Actually for those who thought I'd be going home to stay through another Norwegian winter, so did I. But towards the end of my stay I was beginning to be anxious about leaving, feeling like I wasn't finished with this place. Then not one or two, but three people had been praying for me and said at different times that they felt I was to stay longer or go back shortly after!! This totally astonished me since I was set in my mind to go back home, but as I opened the door to return, things started falling into place very quickly. Ina, my study friend was overwhelmingly excited about coming with me (as I didn't want to travel alone), we could stay at my sister's place since she was going to the Philippines and then another friend, Kari, said we could stay with them afterwards, we found really cheap tickets, it worked out with the exam dates back in Norway and so on. And best of all - I had so much peace about it and was overly excited about coming back. This time around - I even had some of my own friends to visit and something to do besides my own studies (being a part of one of the Discipleship training schools).
So that's the story - and here I am! I can barely believe how lucky I am to have another season in Hawaii - to be away from the hardship at home, live in the sun, take every day as it comes and time to rest and heal. And not alone this time - Ina is there to hang out with and to push me in studying (which at this point is needed!)
The two first mornings here we started the day with breakfast out on the porch (terrasse), listening to all kinds of exotic sounds and smells and feeling the Hawaiian air on our bare legs. We've got an apartment of our own including swimming pool and hot tub, a scooter each to cruise around town and are in the mood to see and experience new things!
This is Ina and I! I am so lucky to be traveling and hanging out with this girl!!
It´s becoming a habit! Packing up and leaving!! I like it!
At Sola airport, on our way from winter wonderland!
And some pictures of where we live now (click on them to have them enlarged). This is our backyard :-)
It´s always awesome to watch someone experiencing America for the first time. Here we are on our roundtrip today, at the infamous Walmart, open 24/7. A must-see. (She´ll probably spend lots of time in here, is my guess!)
